Your Contributions at Work |
 |
Supporting your favorite charity means more when you know your
donation is funding programs and projects that work for what you
care most about—preventing cancer and improving survival.
Our programs and services are funded mainly by donations. Here
are just a few of the projects made possible by your contributions:
The Survivor’s Handbook: Last
year, thousands of copies of this comprehensive resource were distributed
free to participants in our Food for Life classes and to physicians to
share with their patients. The Handbook is being updated
to include more information, delicious recipes, and tools
that will make it even easier to use and share.
Cooking/Nutrition Class Equipment and Instructor
Training: As interest in our popular Food for Life classes
continues to grow, more instructors are needed to teach new classes
all over the country. We provide our instructors with thorough
training and all the cooking equipment and other supplies needed
to teach the classes effectively.
Education for the Medical Community: We exhibit
at medical conferences and conventions to provide health professionals
with vital information for them and to share with their patients.
This outreach is an important part of our educational program
directed at teaching all medical professionals how to lower cancer
risk through nutrition.
There are many other types of donations that will also help us
make a difference. To speak with someone about making an in-kind
donation, how to include The Cancer Project in your will, or other
types of donations, please contact Betsy Wason at 202-244-5038, ext. 366 or bwason@cancerproject.org.
