Curriculum
The Cancer Project’s innovative research-based, Food for Life Nutrition and Cooking Class curriculum was designed by physicians, nutrition experts, and registered dietitians to provide cancer survivors and their families with hands-on nutrition education and cooking demonstrations to help prevent cancer and increase the chances of survival.
Materials
The Cancer Project’s multimedia class materials and resources produced to be companion pieces work hand-in-hand with the class curriculum to enrich the class participants’ learning experiences.
Educational Alliance Facility Manual
An Educational Alliance Facility Manual assists members with program development and needs assessment. The manual includes information on class facility supply and equipment needs and guidance on class scheduling, participant recruitment and registration, class set-up, etc.
Training
Members will have the opportunity to participate in one of two program development and training programs (an immersion class held at The Cancer Project’s headquarters or a Web-based workshop) dedicated to giving new Educational Alliance Program members practical guidance and coaching to successfully integrate the class curriculum into the institution’s existing programs and services. Note: Both training options include sample class materials: The Cancer Survivor’s Guide, Eating Right for Cancer Survival two-disc DVD set, and related brochures, fliers, and posters.

Members will have access to:

- Personalized assistance from The Cancer Project’s dedicated Educational Alliance manager and staff dietitian
- The Cancer Project’s continuing education events on the latest groundbreaking research on how foods fight cancer
