Food for Life Nutrition and Cooking Class Series for Cancer Prevention and Survival

5/13/08: Discovering Dairy Alternatives/Replacing Meat
5/20/08: Planning Healthy Meals/Antioxidants and Phytochemicals
5/27/08: Immune-Boosting Foods/Maintaining a Healthy Weight

The classes will run from 6 to 8 p.m.

There is a suggested donation of $10 per attendee per class. This donation is tax-deductible and should be made payable to The Cancer Project.

Tim Acosta of Rouse’s Stores generously donated the food for these classes.

The blenders used in many of our Food for Life classes were generously donated by the Vita-Mix Corporation.

Each class includes a 10-minute nutrition video followed by an hour-long cooking demonstration and sampling of the food prepared. Classes are open to cancer survivors, friends, family, and anyone interested in cancer prevention and healthy eating.
