Cancer Facts

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States, causing one in every four deaths. In 2003, 556,000 Americans died of cancer. The most common types of cancer diagnosed in Americans include prostate cancer, breast cancer, and colorectal cancer.

It is estimated that roughly 30 to 60 percent of all cancers are related to nutrition. Healthy diets play a key role in cancer prevention and survival.
